Custom AHA Service — $19, delivered within 24 hours
For definable features of work that aren't in the free library —
written for your job, your equipment, your site conditions.
What you receive
A complete, editable Word (.docx) AHA for your activity —
plus a PDF copy
EM 385-1-1 (15 March 2024) paragraph citations, checked against the manual
text — with 2014-edition numbering instead if your contract predates March 2024
Where the activity requires control of hazardous energy —
lockout/tagout, electrical maintenance, pressure or line isolation — the
Hazard Isolation Procedure (HIP) required by para 12-6.a is
included at no extra charge. An AHA by itself will not be accepted for those
activities: the HIP must be attached to and referenced in the AHA, and both
must be accepted by the KO or COR before work starts (12-6.a, 12-6.c)
The sample is watermarked but complete — what you receive is
exactly this, written for your activity.
How it works
1. Check out ($19). The checkout form has a required
"Activity / DFOW" field — describe your job there (e.g. "temporary batch plant
setup, portable silo + loader, Army Corps project in Georgia"). More detail =
better first draft. Need it same-day? Say so in the same field — usually
possible.
2. We confirm by email. If anything's unclear we ask;
otherwise we get to work. The 24-hour clock starts at checkout.
3. You receive the Word + PDF by email. Adapt anything
site-specific, have your competent person / SSHO review and sign, submit.
Guarantee: if your reviewer doesn't
accept the format, we revise it or refund you in full — your call. Questions
before or after ordering:
support@em385library.com.
Frequently asked
Which edition do you cite?
EM 385-1-1, 15 March 2024 by default. If your contract was solicited before
15 March 2024 it stays on the 30 Nov 2014 edition — tell us in the activity
field and we cite the 2014 numbering instead.
I need a Hazardous Energy Control Plan (HECP) — do you do those?
EM 385-1-1 (2024) doesn't use the term "HECP". The manual uses two
documents: the Site-Specific Energy Control Plan (SSECP) at
the project level (12-7.a), and a Hazard Isolation Procedure
(HIP) for each unique machine, equipment or process (12-7.b). If your
contract or company program says "HECP", the SSECP is normally what it means,
with HIPs underneath it. We write the HIP for your equipment and include it
with the AHA — para 12-6.a is explicit that an AHA by itself will not be
considered a HIP.
Is this a signed, ready-to-submit document?
No — no outside vendor can honestly sell you that. An AHA must be prepared
for actual site conditions and signed by your competent person and reviewed by
your SSHO (para 2-6). What we deliver is the complete, correctly formatted,
correctly cited draft that gets you 90% of the way there.
Can we order several / get an invoice?
Yes — order each activity separately, or describe all activities in one
order's field and we'll follow up with a combined quote. A receipt is issued
automatically at checkout; reply to it for anything your accounting team
needs.
